Lana Melynda Duroure, of Switzerland, formerly of Blanco, Texas, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, in Switzerland. She was born September 4, 1961, in Beaumont, and Melynda had been a resident of Switzerland for the past five years. Melynda loved being with her family, and she devoted much of her time and energy as a caretaker to her family members and friends. Survivors include her husband, Urbain Duroure of Martigny, Switzerland; mother, Leslie Dean and her husband, Rick of Beaumont; sisters, Tonja Mills and her son, Chad Mills of Lumberton, and Kristi Graham and her husband, Dave of Nederland; step-sister, Jennifer Mestayer and her husband, Scott of Cypress, Texas; step-brother, Jared Dean of Fairbanks, Virginia; aunts, JoLynne McCraw and her husband, Scott of Sour Lake, Vannessa Foret and her husband, Hubert of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Rita Foster of Oklahoma, and Sandy Ellis of Oklahoma; and many other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her father, William Mills; and her dear friend, Red Hooks. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
