Charles “Chick” Young, III, 45, of Silsbee died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at his residence in Silsbee after a long battle with cancer.

Chick was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Kay Young; children, Kris Latil of Port Neches, and Beth Young and Zane Young both of Silsbee; mother, Mary Young of Silsbee; father, Chuck Young, Jr. and his wife, Tracie of Silsbee; sister, Brittney Smith and her husband, Kyle of Silsbee; brothers, Charlie Young of Beaumont and Chase Young of Silsbee; and numerous other family and friends.

Chick is preceded in death by his grandparents.

A graveside service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Franks Branch Cemetery, Hwy 92, Fred under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, February 4, 2012, 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Broussard’s.
