Robert Eugene “Bob” Ard, 49, of Jasper, died on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his residence. Bob was born November 20, 1962 in Kountze, Texas to Irvin and Nelda Sue (Overstreet) Ard. He had resided in Village Mills most of his life before recently moving to Jasper. Bob was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for Streamline Productions in Kountze.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marie Ard of Jasper; children, Jennifer Ard of Middleton, Tennessee, Jennifer Jones of Village Mills, Rickey Ambrose of Village Mills, John Adam Hamilton of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Virginia Riddick, Joshua Hamilton and Victoria Hamilton all of Ivanhoe; mother, Sue Gray of Village Mills; brother, Wayne Ard of Silsbee; eighteen grandchildren; four nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and a son, Robert “Scooter” Ard.

His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, with burial to follow at Village Mills Cemetery in Village Mills. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, January 16, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
