Avis Evelyn Franklin, 77, of Silsbee died Monday, January 9, 2012, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care in Silsbee.

A native of Gurdon, Arkansas, Evelyn had lived in the Silsbee area and was a homemaker.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Bobby Thornell and his wife, Shannon of Gladewater, Cindy Gill and her husband, Paul of Gilmer, and Kevin Haney of Silsbee; grandchildren, Zachary Hammond of Gilmer and Olivia Gill of Gilmer; brother, Ralph Senn and his wife, J. J. of Kingsbury; and sister, Betty Ann Senn of Beaumont.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Erna Senn; and siblings, William Senn, Charles Senn, Frances Senn, Jean Senn, and Audrey Plake.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
