Dorman Randolph Griffin, 74, of Kountze died Monday, December 6, 2011, at Silsbee Convalescent Center.  He was born May 11, 1937, in Honey Island, to Beatrice (Musgrove) and Jack Griffin.  A lifelong resident of Kountze, he was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Caldwell Griffin of Honey Island; children, Carrie Nugent and her husband, Albert of Honey Island and Stacy Hart and her husband, Keith of Hull; step-children, Shelly Jones and her husband, Harold and Robin Gunnels and her husband, Todd both of Houston; thirteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Julia Ann Griffin; and his brothers, T. C. Griffin and Dawson Griffin.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with interment to follow at Sutton Cemetery in Honey Island.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2011, at Broussard’s.
