Barbara R. Davis, 77, of Sour Lake died Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation.  She was born January 29, 1934, in Port Arthur to Rosa Cumi (Hare) and George William Smallwood.  A resident of Sour Lake since 1977, she was a homemaker and longtime member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Batson.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Davis of Sour Lake; children, Jim Pinell of Port Arthur, Renee Peters and her husband, Tom of Ragley, Louisiana, Mike Pinell of Seattle, Washington, Diane Michalk and her husband, Floyd of Riesel, Sherry Kelley and her husband, Tommy of Newton, Robert Davis and his wife, Debbie of DeQuincy, Louisiana, Carolyn Turner and her husband, Larry of Sour Lake, and Jennifer Stewart of Nederland; brothers, Arnold Smallwood of Springfield, Missouri and Howard Smallwood of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; twenty grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Pinell.

Her funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Broussard’s.
