James Shelton, 66, of Lumberton died Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

James had lived in the Lumberton area for fourteen years. He was a former car salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Shelton of Lumberton; sons, John Shelton of College Station, Kevin Shelton and James Shelton both of Lumberton; step son, James Brown of Independence, Kentucky; daughter, Tammy Wilkinson of Vidor; step daughter, Jennifer Brown; sisters, Darlene Brown of Arizona and Janice Dempsey of Lumberton; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A family committal service will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery.
