Philip Roland Lea 
May 4, 1938 - October 20, 2011

 

Philip Roland Lea, 73, of Vidor, died Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

 

He was born May 4, 1938, in Tyler, to Patsy Ruth Tallant Lea and Philip Shelby Lea, and had been a resident of Vidor since 1964.  He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Lea was a retired salesman with Classic Chevrolet in Beaumont, and also owned Roland’s Auto Center in Vidor for twenty years.

 

Survivors include his sons, Philip Lloyd Lea, Michael Duane Lea, Joe Aubrey Lea, Gregory Allen Lea and his wife, Nancy, all of Vidor, Mike Taliaferro of Nashville, Tennessee, and Joe Taliaferro of Vidor; sister, Marilyn McMurrey of Coldspring; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 North Main Street, Vidor, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Broussard’s.
