Hazel Mary Lisotta, 77, of Nederland, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011. Born March 11, 1934, to Donatile Leger and El Ray LeBlanc in Port Arthur, she was a lifelong resident of the area. 

Hazel enjoyed taking photographs, shopping, spending time with friends and sorority sisters, playing bridge and traveling with family and loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter, Penny Wisenbaker and her husband, Steve, of Nederland; son, Frank Lisotta and his wife, Maureen, of Granite Bay, California; grandchildren, Devin and Joey Lisotta, Taylor and Chelsea Smith; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Madison and Marish Kirch, Hunter Brown, and Avery Bowman; sisters, Helen Billiot and Hilda Marshall; special and closest friends, Loretta Esmond, Gwyn Carriere and Shirley Broussard; and a host of family members and friends.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Benny” Lisotta.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 130 Hardy, Nederland, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of her family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Broussard’s, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.
