James Roy Boyett, Sr., 76, of Devers, died Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. James was born to Billie Gilchrist Lavell Boyett and Roy Lavell Boyett on April 20, 1935, in Rose Vine, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Boyett; son, Jon Paul Boyett and his wife Kelly, all of Devers; daughter, Rebecca Villarreal and her husband Eduardo of League City; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, James “Jim” Boyett, Jr.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2011, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Gravell Hill Cemetery in Hemphill, Texas.
