L. G. “Bubba” LaCour, 83, of Wildwood died Monday, October 10, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

Bubba was a longtime resident of Freer, Texas and had lived in the Wildwood area since 1993.  He was a production foreman for Arco Oil and Gas.  Bubba also served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Sherrie LaCour; children, Tom LaCour and his wife, Linda of Beeville and Suzanne Thornell and her husband, Andrew of Wildwood; grandchildren, Deborah Irby and her husband, Robert of Annapolis, Maryland, Ashley Kellogg and her husband, Zak of Beaumont, and Corban Thornell and his wife, Rachel of Ft. Drum, New York; great grandchild, Emily Irby; and brothers, Walter LaCour and his wife, Kathleen and Pascal LaCour.

Bubba is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd B. and Mary LaCour and sister, Peggy Bradford.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Wildwood Baptist Church, 100 Wildwood Drive, Village Mills, Texas 77663 under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
