Frances Dianne Bartels, 68, of Kountze, died on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Frances was born in Nederland on October 5, 1943 to Samuel Joseph and Frances Joyce (Fregia) Bourque. A resident of Kountze since 1984, Frances was a tax preparer for H & R Block.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Bartels, Sr. of Kountze; her son, Gary Bartels, Jr. of Katy; her grandchildren, Samuel, Joseph and Sophia Bartels.

Her memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until time of service. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s Crematorium.
