Patsy Carlton Linscomb, 78, of Beaumont died Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. 

She was born in Hemphill, November 20, 1932, to Mattie Essie Conn Carlton and Robert Curtis Carlton. A Beaumont resident since 1952, Mrs. Linscomb was a retired driver with Beaumont Association for Senior Citizens. She enjoyed visiting with people and never met a stranger.

Survivors include her son, Curtis Linscomb of Port Arthur; daughters, Sandra Barton and her husband, Billy of Kountze; Lori Haas and her husband, Chantz, Lisa Hoyt, and Leslie Linscomb Martinez, all of Beaumont; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Horn and her husband, J.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Linscomb; and son, Michael Linscomb.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2011, at Broussard’s.
