Edmond A. Airhart, 63, of Kountze, died on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. Eddie was born June 22, 1948 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Allen J. and Dorothy (Harrell) Airhart. A former resident of Beaumont, he had lived in Kountze for nineteen years. He was a retired chemical engineer for AWARE Engineering of Beaumont.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Airhart of Kountze; his son, Michael Airhart of Austin; his grandson, Matthew Airhart of Austin; his sisters, Annette Beadles and her husband Glenn of Dallas, Melba Van Winkle and her husband Danny of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, Pat Boudreaux and her husband David of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his brothers, Tim Airhart and his wife Janice of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Richard Airhart and his wife Chris of Alexandria, Louisiana.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
