Dan Celli, 62, passed away September 11, 2011, in San Antonio.  He was born in Galveston on November 3, 1948, to Robert and Clementine Mongan Celli.  The family settled in Beaumont and Dan attended Beaumont schools graduating in 1967, from Beaumont High School. He earned his marketing degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1971.  His career as a salesman and vice-president for commercial refrigeration took him to Corpus Christi, Houston, Dallas, Austin, and finally San Antonio.

Dan had a kind nature and compassion for others.  He was a lover of all animals, especially those of the feline variety.  Dan always had a good story to tell and a hearty laugh.

He is survived by his daughters, Megan Celli and Melissa Freeman and her husband, Nick, all of Austin; siblings, Bobby Celli and his wife, Sara, Gary Celli and his wife, Terri, and Melody Celli Fulgham and her husband, Greg, all of Beaumont; several nieces and nephews, Tiffany Celli and her husband Max, Christy O’Bryant and her husband, Matt, Frank Celli, Will Celli, Michael Celli, and Keith Fulgham and his wife, Julie; and his dear friend Sophie.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with the Reverend Rodel Faller officiating.  Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, 2200 Pine, Beaumont.  Pallbearers will be Frank Celli, William Celli, Michael Celli, Keith Fulgham, Jay Williams, and Fred Duncan.  A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Broussard’s.
