Beverly Boswell, 68, of Silsbee passed away September 22, 2011, at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.  Beverly was born December 2, 1942, in Neosho, Missouri to Morris and Roberta Small. 

Beverly had lived in the Silsbee area since 1971.  She and her mother owned and operated the Log Cabin Lounge for many years.  She was a great seamstress and gardener, but her greatest joy was her horses.  Beverly and her husband raised show and race horses for many years and she spent her days in the barn caring for horses and in her yard gardening.  She loved her plants and flowers and watching her hummingbirds.

She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Russell and her husband, Steve of Beaumont; step-son, Drexel Boswell and his wife, Rose Mary of Pilot Point; step daughter-in-law, Julie Boswell of Kilgore; grandsons, Jeremy Russell and his wife, Maxine of Beaumont, Jason Russell of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Levi Boswell of Pilot Point; granddaughters, Allison, Ashley, and Leslie Boswell of Kilgore; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Scout Swanson of Beaumont and Destiny Russell of Chatsworth Georgia; sister-in-law, Lou Handley of Nederland; and cousin, Jean Strickland of San Antonio.

Other than her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-nine years, George “G.W.” Boswell; son, Roy Kelley; and step-son, Rodger Boswell.

Many thanks to her friends that ran errands, dropped off meals, and checked on her regularly through out her illness.  Special thanks to Sherry Grissom for her loving care and friendship to both Beverly and the family and to Texas Home Health Hospice Staff.

Her memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
