Norma Marie Brown, 83, of High Island died September 22, 2011 at Promise Hospital.

A native of Pawnee, Oklahoma she had lived in the High Island area since 1973, and was a retired manager with McDonalds in Port Arthur, Texas.

She is survived by her sons, Dan Brown and his wife, Rebecca of Morgan City, Louisiana, Amos Brown, Jr. and his wife, Susie of Merritt Island, Florida, and Alvin Brown and his wife, Jean of Conroe; daughters, Lavella Railey of Woodville, Shirley Tartlow of Livingston, Bobbi Miller of Vinton and Opal Brown of High Island; sister, Velva Hallman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; twenty-three grandchildren; forty four great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Her family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011, at the First Baptist Church, 1368 Weeks Avenue, in High Island.

Burial was under direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie.
