Clifford Allen Brace, Sr., 91, of Lumberton, died Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born August 16, 1920, in Traverse City, Michigan, to Clara Allen Brace and Roy Forrest Brace; and had been a resident of Southeast Texas for thirty years. Mr. Brace was a retired pipefitter and a United States Army Air Corps veteran having served in World War II. Survivors include his children, Yvonne Magallanes and her husband, Javier of Dallas, Clifford Allen Brace III and his wife, Sheila of Austin, Clara Banker and her husband, Brent of Lumberton, Roy Forrest Brace and his wife, Amy of San Francisco, California, Leroy Forrest Brace and his wife, Susan of Sedro Woolley, Washington, Irving Brace of San Antonio, Erica Kuderna and her husband, Jerome of Germany, Celeste Brace of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Clifford Allen Brace II and his wife, Ahn of Redlands, California, Skylar Phillip Brace of Mesa, Arizona, and Susan Whitewolf of Mesa, Arizona; nineteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Cecilia Ortiz. He is preceded in death by parents; and his sister, Jeanette Reid. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 12 Noon until time of service Saturday at Broussard’s. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
