Lois Bayless, 78, of Lumberton died Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at her residence.

Lois was a long time resident of the Lumberton area and was a homemaker and a member of Journey Community Church.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Julius Bayless; Children, Larry Bayless of Tulsa, Okalahoma, Ronald Wayne Bayless of Lumberton, Brenda Bayless of Illinois, Robert M. Bayless and his wife, Phyllis of Beaumont, and Gary Bayless and his wife, Dorothy of Pineland; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; brothers, Willy Burge and Dan Burge and sisters, Annie Burkett and Bell Vaglica.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Broussard’s 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with burial to follow at Leatherwood Cemetery in Lumberton.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, September 17, 2011, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
