Edgar Lorenzo Bryant 
December 17, 1924 - September 8, 2011

Edgar Lorenzo, Bryant, 86, of Baytown, died Thursday, September 8, 2011, at the Green Acres Convalescence Center in Baytown.

He was born December 17, 1924, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Hattie Ann Byars and John William Bryant. At the age of fourteen, Edgar and his twin brother, Edward, left Oklahoma City to live with their sister, Ruby Young, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He enlisted in the United States Navy in September. 1943, and was honorably discharged in January 1946. Mr. Bryant retired after 33 years’ service with A. O. Smith Corporation, as a press operator. He had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1979. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie with a noon graveside service at Anthony Cemetery, Park Street in Beaumont,  under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.

Mr. Bryant is survived by his twin brother, Edward Bryant and his wife, Marion, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Clementine Charlton, of Houston, Texas; nieces, Camille Jackson and her husband, Felix, Lanetta Muldrow and her husband James, Lauretta Lewis and her husband Don, Clementine Booker and her husband, Floyd, and Judy Johnson and her husband, Arnold; nephews, George Charlton, Jr., and his wife, Pageant, Spencer Charlton and his wife Raynet, and Ron Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Camille Davis Bryant and sister, Ruby Young.
