Judson Q. “Judd” Ward, 77, of Nederland, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Gulf Healthcare in Port Arthur.  Born March 31, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama to Alethia and Judson Briscoe Ward, he was a resident of the Mid-County area since 1961.  Judd enjoyed woodworking and gardening. 

He is survived by his son, Allen Ward and his wife, Evelyn of Vidor; grandchildren, Jessica Waldrop and her husband, Joseph and J.D. Ward, all of Vidor; sisters, Jeanene Marchand of Christ Church, New Zealand and Bettye Marquart of Groves; and brother, Charles Briscoe Ward of Harlingen.

Judd is preceded in death by his parents, Briscoe and Alethia Ward; and sister, Gwen Johnson.

A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2011, at Broussard’s.
