Albert Berard, 97, of Beaumont died August 30, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Home in Bedford.  Born September 21, 1913 in Loreauville, Louisiana the ninth of twelve children, he was the son of Felecie LeBlanc Berard and Charles Berard.  A resident of Beaumont for fifty-eight years before moving to Bedford, Mr. Berard was a member of Pipefitters Local #195.

He is survived by his son, Larry Berard of Winnie; daughter, Bonnie Dorsey of Bedford; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julia Burnett Berard; son, Bobby Berard; and daughter Regina Dockery.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Saturday at Broussard’s.
