Joyce E. Simmons, 63, of China, died Friday, August 26, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.

A native of Beaumont and lifelong resident of the area, Joyce was born January 21, 1948,

to Peggy May Creviston and Edgar Creviston.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Manuel and her husband, Clint of China and Sharon Pufpaff of Vidor; son, James Tompkins of China; eight siblings; and three grandchildren, Travis Pufpaff, Justin Pufpaff and Chris Manuel.

Her graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011, at China Cemetery, China under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Broussard's.
