Ray Henry, 80, of Winnie, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the Arboretum of Winnie.

He was born August 5, 1931, in Nederland, to Anastaise Boullion Henry and Ambrose Henry, and had been a resident of the Winnie area most of his life.  Mr. Henry was a retired chemical operator and a United States Navy veteran having served in the Korean War.

His dedication to his faith and service to St. Louis Catholic Church will be missed by all.

Mr. Henry is survived by his brother, Tom Henry and his wife, Clara of Fannett; three sisters, Doris Sonnier and her husband, Lilton, and Agnes Johnson all of Winnie, and Shirley Rutherford of Nederland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Cimino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Tuesday,  August 23, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2011, at Broussard’s.
