Manuel Blos Dixon, Jr., 75, of Winnie died August 17, 2011, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital of Beaumont.

While living in Winnie since 1975, Manuel enjoyed working on old cars and tractors, bringing them back to their original beauty. He was a retired machinist with Gulfco and a United States Navy veteran.

Manuel is survived by his companion of thirty years, Donna LaRive, step sons, Joe LaRive and his wife, Carrie, James Finn and his wife, Annie all of Winnie, John Finn and his wife, Dana of Anahuac, and Roy LaRive and his wife, Anita of Dayton; step daughters, Sue Bergeron of Port Arthur and Mary Fuller and her husband, Skipper of Bastrop; sister, Kay Wren Womack and her husband, C. A. of Bellville; and numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Broussard’s. 134 W. Buccaneer Dr., in Winnie, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of his family and friends will be from noon until service time. Saturday at Broussard’s.
