James "Jim" Allen Kettl 
March 2, 1960 - August 15, 2011

James “Jim” Kettl, 51, of Beaumont, died Monday, August 15, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on March 2, 1960, to Lila Bea Garrett Kettl and Henry Kettl. Jim was a computer programmer for Swedish Hospital Systems in Seattle, Washington.

  Survivors include his wife, Tina Kettl of Beaumont; daughters, Genesis Kettl of Phoenix, Arizona and Danielle Robbins and her husband, Leslie of Kauffman; grandchild, Hayden Robbins; sisters, Stena Kettl of Richmond and Celeste Kendrick and her husband, David of Greeley, Colorado; brothers, Lonnie Kettl and his wife, Melinda of Zachary, Louisiana and Sean Kettl of Beaumont; mother, Lila Bea Kettl; aunts and uncles, Brian and Joyce Ann Norsworthy of Beaumont and Rhitt and Janet Garrett of Hockessin, Delaware; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members; and his church family at Bethany Bible Church in Seattle, Washington. His family would like to thank his co-workers at Swedish Hospital Systems for all their support and loving care.   He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Kettl.   Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington for their kindness and compassion.   A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2011, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont, with a committal service to follow at Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000  McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Broussard’s.   Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 5144, Beaumont, Texas 77726.
