Annie Mae Trahan 
December 18, 1922 - August 16, 2011

Annie Mae Trahan, 88, of Winnie, died August 16, 2011, at the Harbor Hospice of Beaumont.

 

She was born December 18, 1922, in Kaplan, Louisiana and has lived in the Winnie area since 1941. Annie Mae was a faithful member of St. Louis Catholic Church, loved to crochet, play games, crossword puzzles and work with her flowers. She loved her family and especially enjoyed all the times they would get together.

 

Annie Mae is survived by her sons, Lawrence Trahan and his wife, Glenna of Panama City, Florida and Johnny Trahan and his wife, Stephanie of Winnie; daughters, Lorina Trahan and her husband, Charlie of Bronson, Dorothy Thompson of Baytown, Theresa LeBlanc and her husband, Floyd of Dayton, Martha Owens and her husband, Jerry of LaBelle, and Mary Granger and her husband Kenny of Mauriceville; sisters, Rose Jagneaux and her husband, Raymond of Beaumont, Agnes Paul of Orange, and Jane Newman of Lake Charles; twenty-eight grandchildren; fifty-five great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludger Trahan.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Dr. with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Dr. in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Broussard’s.
