Joseph “Joe” Danna, 86, of Beaumont passed quietly from this life on the morning of August 12, 2011.  A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born November 2, 1924, to Annie Rumore Danna and Carlo Anthony Danna.  After serving in the United States Air Force during World War II, he went on to work for B.F. Goodrich where he retired after forty years of service.

Joe was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend who was always available to meet the needs of his family.  He made a difference in the lives that he touched.

Survivors include his former wife, Pauline Danna; daughter, Paula Rizzo and her husband, Phil; sons, Joseph C. Danna, Greg Danna, Michael Danna, and Phillip Danna; grandchildren, Marce Evans, Rita Danna, David Danna, Gina Harper and her husband, Mike, Audrey Danna, Linda Raiford and her husband, David, Andrew Danna, Erran Newberry, Teresa Larcade and her husband, Daniel, Lisa Danna, Phillip Rizzo, Lauren Rizzo, and Emily Rizzo; and great grandchildren, Sophia Steinmetz, Trey Steinmetz, Gillian Harris, Gianna Harris, Dylan Harper, and Madison Evans.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlo and Annie Danna; brothers, Anthony and Johnny Danna; sister, Lily Danna Tessitore; and son, Chris Danna.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011, with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., at Broussard’s.
