Jacqueline Hawkins Poullard, 53, of Beaumont died Sunday, August 7, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Beaumont on February 16, 1958, to Rosa Blanche Sam Hawkins and Samuel Hawkins, Sr. Having spent most of her life in Crowley, Louisiana, she returned to Beaumont in 1988 and was a bus driver with Beaumont Independent School District.   Survivors include her husband, Roderick Poullard of Beaumont; daughters, Tywanda “Kechia” Poullard of Beaumont and Lawann “Toodie” Poullard of Houston; sisters, Brenda Faye Hawkins Wardsworth of Beaumont and Gretchen Rideau and her husband, Phillip of Crowley, Louisiana; brother, Samuel Hawkins, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Beaumont; and grandchildren, Kaleb Gums and Taylor Bellard.   She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Creighton and Florence Young;  her birth parents, Blanche and Samuel Hawkins,Sr.; and sister, Sandra Hawkins.  

Funeral services for Jacqueline will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont with a gathering of her family and friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time.  Cremation arrangements are being handled under the direction of Broussard’s.
