Chester "Eddie" Stockton 
March 24, 1955 - August 3, 2011

Chester “Eddie” Stockton, 56, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. Born on March 24, 1955, to Betty McElyea Stockton and Nolan Stockton in Jacksonville, Texas, he was the office manager for Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

  Survivors include his wife, Vickie Jones Stockton; brother, David “Pat” Stockton and his wife, Susan of Vidor; seven nieces and nephews, Patrick Stockton, Amber Simmons and her husband, Bryan, Jake Stockton, Amy Comeaux, Courtnay Stockton, Bart Stockton and Ben Stockton and their mother, Kathie Weatherly; daughters, Britney Maxfield and her fiancé, Mark, Ashley Vazquez and her husband, Jose, and Kelsey Powell and her husband, Matt; and grandchildren, Alexa, Gavin, Westin, Anna, Brianna, Emma and Jackson.   Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Buddy Stockton; and his brother, Larry Stockton. Eddie enjoyed life to the fullest. When he wasn’t selling or teaching real estate, Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Many nights were spent by the pool playing skip-bo and scrabble. He loved his role as “Pop-Pop” and could capture the kids attention with his unique story telling. He also loved traveling, going to the casino and painting. He always has an open ear to listen and offer his best advice. He was a true “answer man”. His contagious smile and sweet spirit will forever be remembered.  

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, 3650 Dowlen Road, with a reception to follow, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
