James Edward Luckey, 63, of Silsbee died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

He was born in Cleveland and was a lifelong resident of the area where he worked as a diesel mechanic and welder for the State of Texas. 

James is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Luckey of Silsbee; children, Christie Biskamp and her husband, Kevin of Silsbee, Christopher Michael Luckey and his wife, Jenny of Beaumont, Christina Stanley and her husband, Michael of Buna, and Melissa Luckey of Silsbee; grandchildren, Loren and Ashlee Biskamp, Keylee and Austin McNeil, and Mike Stanley; brother, Levon Harris of Evadale; and sisters, Agnes and Daisey Hollis of Apple Springs.           .

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward B. and Lorean Garsee Luckey.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at R. S. Farmer Cemetery in Silsbee.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, August 6, 2011, 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.
