Mary Ann Joseph, 49, of Stowell went to be with our Lord on August 1, 2011.

A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, she was born on January 30, 1961. Mary lived most of her life in the Winnie-Stowell area and worked as a tractor operator for Evans Contractors.

She is survived by her loving children, Joshua Joseph and his wife, Octavia of Stowell and Tysheen Joseph of Beaumont; parents, Jay Roy Joseph and Hilda Rose Joseph of Stowell; brothers, Michael Joseph and his wife, Tiffany, McArthur Joseph, David Joseph all of Stowell, Chris Joseph and his wife, Ann of Atlanta, Georgia and Darrell Joseph and his wife, Deborah of Beaumont; grandchildren, Jamorre Joseph, Demorion Joseph, Valencia Joseph, Devon Joseph, Braylon Joseph, La Norris Joseph, Calebe Joseph and Gabriel Joseph; special friend, James Jones of Port Arthur;  God-parents, Gilbert and Trudy Simien, God-daughters, Wyleshia Green and Marlecia Thomas; her “special son”, Roscoe; and numerous relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011,  at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive with burial at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
