Neva Gail Mayes, 64, of Beaumont, died Monday, August 1, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.

She was born November 25, 1946, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Lena Parker Emmons and Ruel Emmons.  A native of Sikes, Louisiana, Neva lived most of her life in the Orange and Beaumont area.  Neva loved the ocean, animals, and music.  She especially loved her dog, Gypsy and her cat, Jacob.

Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Wallace and her husband, Jason of Beaumont and Kathleen Stock and her husband, Bryan and their son Bryan Stock II of San Antonio.

She is preceded in death by her sister, DeeAnne Ricks; and her parents.

Her memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium.
