Alan Verret, 66, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011.  A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born June 19, 1945, to Juanita Stockholm Verret and A.P. Verret, Jr.  Alan was a United States Army veteran and retired from Texaco after thirty-six years of service. He was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Julie Verret Walker and her husband, Jeff of Angleton; sister, Denise Verret Delagarza and her husband, Leo of Austin; brother, Gene Verret of Beaumont and Phil Verret and his wife, Janet of Columbus, Ohio; father, A.P. Verret, Jr. of Austin; grandchildren, Jason Walker and Jodi Walker; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Buddy and Spots.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A Rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, at Broussard’s.
