Carl James Andrepont 
August 26, 1934 - July 24, 2011

Carl Andrepont, 76, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, July 24, 2011.  He was born on August 26, 1934, to Ursman Marcull and Lee Andrepont and was a resident of Port Arthur his entire life. Carl was a veteran of the United States Army and the National Guard.  He was a Senior Design Draftsman at Gulf Oil and resigned to become a business owner and owned Andrepont Signs since 1969.  His hobbies included building and flying ultra light airplanes and building classic cars and beach buggies. He rode motorcycles and trikes and flew remote control airplanes.  The first portable signs on trailers were started by Carl.

 

Carl is survived by his wife, Alice Andrepont of Port Arthur; daughter, Rebecca Andrepont of Irving; and brother, Dr. Willie J. Andrepont and his wife, Totty of Groves.

 

His memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of his family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Entombment of cremains will be at Houston National Cemetery.
