Gloria Alston, 85, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.

She was born March 13, 1926, in Brisbane, Australia, and had been a resident of the Beaumont area most of her life where she was a member of Fannett Road Church of Christ.

Gloria is survived by her son, Preston LeBlanc and his wife, Barbara of Warren; daughter, Sabra Johnson of Beaumont; grandchildren, Rheis LeBlanc and his wife, Christine of Lumberton, Heather Williams of Beaumont, Kristen Troup and her husband, Dean of Kountze, Elizabeth Banse of Woodville, Sue Ann Morales of North Carolina, Rachel Bius of Woodville and Kimma Troup of College Station; great-grandchildren, Meagan Mitchell, Courtney Mitchell, Karagan Steurt, Dreston LeBlanc, Ciera Steurt,  Vincenzo Malatesta, Natalee Banse, Abby Morales, Lissy Morales and Carolina Morales; great-great-grandchildren, Victoria Metcalfe and Kailynn Metcalfe.

A gathering in memory of Gloria will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
