Jackie Lewis Marshall, 72, of Nederland died Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Born October 5, 1938, in Beaumont, to Edna Inez Shannon Marshall and Lawrence Wortham Marshall, he had been a resident of the area all his life. Jackie was a retired supervisor with Cain Chemical, having over thirty years of employment and was a United States Marine veteran. He loved boxing, woodworking, and fishing. Jackie is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Marshall of Nederland; daughters, Joy Boyd and her husband, Mike of Nederland and Brenda Amy and her husband, Brian of Fannett; son, Jackie Scott and his wife, Margarit of Nederland; brother, Charles Marshall and his wife, JoAnn of Lumberton; sister, Charlene Cryer and her husband, V.J. of Zavalla; grandchildren, Amanda Barlow of Nederland, Brandi Barlow of Hawaii, Geoff Boyd of Nederland, Aaron Boyd and his, wife Amber of Nederland, Michael Boyd, Jr. of Nederland, Brian Amy, Jr. of Fannett, Jackie Blake Amy and his wife, Kira of Fannett, Britni Amy of Nederland, and Jake Lewis Marshall of Nederland; great grandchildren, Camden Clark, Eisley Stansbury, Marleigh Boyd, Bryeen Amy, Millie Amy, and Aniyah Finkley. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Billie Ray Marshall and L.W. Marshall. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Broussard’s.
