Joseph Stoute, Sr., 78, of Beaumont, died Monday, July 11, 2011.  Born June 21, 1933, in Leonville, Louisiana to Evelena Guidry Stoute and Gerard Stoute, he was a resident of the Beaumont area since 1955.  Joseph was a retired produce manager for Weingarten’s Grocery then shortly after his retirement he started his own business, Joe’s Lawn Service.  He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Laura Stoute of Beaumont; daughters, Donna Mathew and Mary Montgomery both of Dallas; son, Joseph Stoute, Jr. and his wife, Marlene of Lumberton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Gilda Robin and Evelyn Bazar both of Port Barre, Louisiana, Ruby Latiolais, Eula Marks and Liza Johnson all of Gonzales, Louisiana, Lucille Durpree of Independence, Louisiana and Bertha Darbone of Denham Springs, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Curley Stoute and Thomas Stoute.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, with a gathering of his family and friends to follow at Broussard’s.
