Wendell Curtis Keown, 84, of Silsbee died Monday, July 11, 2011, in Groves.

Wendell was a life long resident of the area and was a retired shipping foreman with Eastex Papermill.

He is survived by his children, Steve Curtis Keown, Karen Lillian Robinson and her husband, Steve, Kathy Diane Murphy, and Jody Ann Dulaney and her husband, Matt all of Silsbee; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Wendell is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Carson and Pearl Donna Keown; wife, Theo Allen Keown; and brother, Kenneth “Red” Keown.

A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
