Andrew LaRive, Jr., 85, of High Island, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont.

Andrew was born in Houston, on October 13, 1925, to Lillian Davys LaRive and Andrew LaRive, Sr. He lived in High Island for thirty years and was a retired construction worker. Andrew was a United States Navy veteran having served during World War II.

Andrew is survived by his daughters, Gwen Edgar of High Island and Peggy LaRive of Austin; son, James LaRive of High Island; sister, Jean Jackson of Houston; grandchildren, Bambi Edgar of Webster, Anthony Edgar of High Island, Candee Edgar of San Diego, California, Tressa Hanley of Crosby, James LaRive, Jr. of Galveston, and Clint LaRive of Crosby; and seven great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Dr, Winnie. 

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. LaRive’s name to the charity of your choice.
