Helen Janice Seymour, 84, of Beaumont, died Thursday, July 7, 2011. Born November 21, 1926, in Sandy Land, Arkansas to Eva Buie Beck and Luther Beck, she was a resident of the Beaumont area most of her life.

Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Ruby Seymour of Beaumont; son, Roy “Koko” Weaver and his wife, Melody of Beaumont; grandson, Garon Weaver and his wife, Suzanne of Beaumont; granddaughter, Anitra Cardenas and her husband, Ray of Lumberton; great grandchildren, Lane Cardenas, Jeremiah Weaver, Laynie Weaver, Allie Cardenas and Kaleb Cardenas; and sister, Eloa Gantt of Victoria.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lana Sue Thomas; sisters, Edna Gray, Naomi Burch and Virginia Powers; and brother, Billy Beck.

Her memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Broussard’s. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
