Betty Ann Marcantel, 85, of Nederland died June 30, 2011 at her residence.  Born August 1, 1925 in Decatur, Illinois, Betty was the daughter of Clara and Clarence Brady and had been a resident of Nederland since 1968.

She is survived by her daughters, Roxanne Boudreaux and her husband, Gordin, of Orangefield and Karen Stanley and her husband, Foster of Nederland;  sons, Steven Marcantel of Nederland and Eddie Marcantel of Ocala, Florida; sister, Charlotte Brady of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Shorty Brady of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elwood John Marcantel; and sons, Ronnie Marcantel and Randy Marcantel.

A Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy, Nederland under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.
