Presley A. Premeaux 
January 4, 1920 - June 29, 2011

Presley Anthony Premeaux, 91, of Nederland, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur.  Born January 4, 1920, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Eva Hollier and Thovile Premeaux, he was a resident of the Mid-County area most of his life. Presley was a veteran with the United States Navy serving in Korea and World War II. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, being a handyman, travelling, providing and was very loving and caring. 

 

Presley is survived by his daughter, Diane Hejduk and her husband, Leszek of Nederland; sons, James Premeaux and his wife, Amelia of Pearland, and Wayne Premeaux of Humble; former daughter-in-law Reba Premeaux of Livingston; sister, Mildred Wieniewitz of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; grandchildren, Westley Authement, Carl Authement, Ben Premeaux, Bethany Premeaux, Danyell French, Michael Premeaux, Dana Tellup, Doug Premeaux; and great grandchildren, Robyn, Joshua, Elizabeth, Orion, Violet, Miles, Skyler, Brice, Madelyn, Michael, Gabriel, and Brenda.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laura Premeaux; and son, Dayne Andrew Premeaux; two half brothers; and five half sisters.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Broussard’s, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.
