Ada Lawless, 84, of Nederland, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at Gulf Healthcare Facility in Port Arthur. Born November 3, 1926, to Mary Ann Richard and Albert Martin in Chacahoula, Louisiana, she was a resident of the Mid-County area since 1951.

Ada’s love and memories will remain in the hearts of her husband of sixty-three years, Bill Lawless of Nederland; daughter, Susanne Hayes and her husband, Patrick; sons, Michael Lawless and his wife, Sandra, Kenneth Lawless and his wife, Ruth; also her sister-in-law, Janice Martin; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Martin; brother, AJ Martin; and lifelong friend, Virginia Barras.

Her graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, with a Christian Vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
