Vivian Miller Cook 
November 28, 1926 - June 20, 2011

Vivian Miller Cook, 84, of Nederland, died Monday, June 20, 2011.   Born November 28, 1926 in Kirbyville, she was a lifelong resident of the Mid-County area.  Vivian enjoyed homemaking, gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, and loved being a grandmother.  As a private duty sitter, she was in huge demand because of her caring ways.  She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Nederland.

 

Vivian is survived by her daughter, Linda Peters of Nederland; son, James Cook and his wife, Theresa of Fannett; granddaughter, Erin Peters Prioux and her husband, David Jr. of Nederland; and great granddaughters, Grace Prioux and Danyel Prioux.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Pete” Cook; three brothers, one sister and her grandson, Shane Ramke.

 

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Broussard’s.
