Jeffrey K. “Jeff” Burke, 60, of Port Neches, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in West Memphis, Arkansas. Born September 21, 1950 in Port Arthur to Helen Hebert and Edward Burke, he was a life long resident of the area. Jeff was employed as a truck driver with United Petroleum Transport of Beaumont, for nine years. He enjoyed driving trucks, loved motorcycles, doing mechanic work and spending time with his family. Jeff is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Paulette Burke of Port Neches; daughters, Denise Tannous and her husband Amer of Austin, Shelley Burke and Cheremy of Port Neches, Kimberly Burke and Karlee McCord and her husband Jason all of Utah; Belinda Wilber of DeRidder, Louisiana; Amanda Rumsey and her husband Michael and Miranda Morgan, all of Beaumont; brothers, Leslie “Les” Burke and his wife Cindy of Groves, Mike Quick of College Station, and Eddie Berry of Nederland; sisters, Doris Ann Walker of Bridge City, and Peggy Ford of College Station; eleven grandchildren, Alton “Toot” Matlock IV, Maranda Matlock, Calyssa Matlock, John Semien, Kacie Nacino, Brien Wilber, Breelyn Wilber, William “Will” Slone, IV, Raelee Slone, Gavin Rumsey, and Rylan Morgan; four great grandchildren, Cason, Deziree, Austyn, and Terry; and three dogs, Maggie, Pee Wee, and Oscar. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening, June 20, 2011 at Broussard’s. |
