C. Elmer Tait, 82, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Born September 29, 1928, in Victoria to Elnora Fredwood Tait and Collie Lester Tait, Elmer was a Certified Public Accountant owning his own private practice in Beaumont for thirty-five years.  He was a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Bobbie Tait of Beaumont; sons, Bruce Tait of Beaumont and Kenneth Tait of Umatilla, Florida; daughter, Colleen Landino of Plano; five grandchildren, Kathryn Watson of Houston, Josh Landino and Casey Landino both of Plano, Emily Andrews of Webster and Brooke Taylor of Sugar Land; and six great-grandchildren.

His memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Northwood Christian Church, 5050 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont.

His cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
