Louise S. Young, 76, of Beaumont, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

Born November 26, 1934, in Shelby County, Texas to Audra Compton Strickland and E.B. Strickland, Louise had lived in the Beaumont area for the last nine years and was a retired school teacher.  She was a loving wife and mother.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Young of Beaumont; sister, Elouise Newell; brother, Barney Joe Strickland; sons, Eric Houser, Charles Houser, Craig Houser, Todd Houser and Marc Young.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
