Wesley Dalton Copeland 
September 13, 1918 - June 10, 2011

Wesley Dalton Copeland, 92, of Sour Lake died on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. Wesley was born September 13, 1918 in Sour Lake and had resided there all of his life. He was a retired operator from Mobil Oil and he had also proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

 

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Poteet Robinson of Sour Lake; daughters, Marlene Bryant and her husband Johnny of Hemphill and Kathleen Putman and her husband John of Georgia; his sister, Margie Nell Weston of Sour Lake; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

 

Graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the cemetery. Wesley was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona Copeland, his son, Raymond Copeland and a brother, Merle Copeland.
