Carolyn F. Butler, 66, of Silsbee, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at Harbor Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.

Born October 5, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri to Helen Francis Burlage and William H. Burlage; she had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1979.  Carolyn was a retired school teacher with Beaumont Independent School District having taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in math and computer science at Marshall Middle School.  

Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Barnett and her husband, Al of Silsbee, and Lisa Kay Walker and her husband, Jesse W. Walker II of Westlake, Louisiana; and two grandchildren, Scott Barnett and Jessica Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Robert A. Butler.

A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A graveside service for Carolyn will be in Crystal City, Missouri at a later date.
